1. Who is responsible for your information?
ShaderPress is operated by Danny Scheers, Spain, the controller responsible for personal information processed through enchoufable.com for website operation and product support.
Business postal address: Urb Los Pinos de Montequinto 3 2 C, 41089 Montequinto
Privacy contact: [email protected]
Freemius, Inc. is the merchant of record for purchases and processes information for its own checkout, billing and related services under its own privacy policy. This policy explains our processing; it does not replace Freemius’s policy.
2. Information we process
- Website requests: IP address, requested pages, timestamps, browser and device information, and security or error events generated when you access our website.
- Support: your name, email address, messages, order or licence reference, and technical details you choose to provide, such as your website URL, WordPress/plugin versions, screenshots and error logs.
- Customer and licence records: information made available through Freemius, such as contact details, purchase history, plan, subscription status and activated website information, where needed to fulfil your purchase and assist you.
- Preferences: cookie choices and settings that are stored when you use a feature requiring them.
Please remove passwords, private licence keys, payment information and your own customers’ personal data from support attachments unless a secure, specifically agreed support process requires them. Do not send complete card details to us.
3. Why we use information and our legal bases
- Provide purchases, licences, downloads and support: to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform our contract with you.
- Operate and protect the website: our legitimate interests in reliable delivery, troubleshooting, preventing abuse and protecting accounts and software. We limit this processing to what is necessary and consider its impact on visitors.
- Maintain legally required records and respond to lawful requests: compliance with applicable legal obligations.
- Non-essential cookies or optional marketing, if offered: your consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims: our legitimate interests and applicable legal requirements.
Providing information is generally voluntary. Without information needed for a purchase, licence activation or support request, the relevant service may not be available. We do not use your information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Checkout, subscriptions and licence activation
Purchases are completed through Freemius. Information you enter in checkout, including billing and payment details, is handled by Freemius and its payment providers. Our sales-page code does not collect full payment-card numbers.
When you purchase or activate ShaderPress, Freemius and the installed product may exchange customer, order, licence, installation, domain and technical information needed to validate access, manage activations and deliver updates. The exact connection and optional data-sharing choices are shown by the product and Freemius interfaces. Optional data sharing is distinct from information required to administer a paid licence.
See Freemius’s privacy policy and manage your purchases through the Freemius customer portal. Cancellation and refunds are governed by the ShaderPress EULA; this privacy policy does not change those terms.
5. Providers and other recipients
Information is shared only as needed with service providers supporting the purposes described here, with authorised professional advisers, or where disclosure is required by law or necessary for legal claims.
- Website hosting and maintenance providers: deliver and secure the WordPress website and store operational data.
- Cloudflare: provides DNS and, where enabled, proxy delivery, caching and security. Proxied website requests pass through Cloudflare, which can process visitor IP addresses and request/security metadata. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Freemius and its payment/service providers: checkout, billing, tax handling, customer accounts, subscriptions and licensing.
- Email and support providers: deliver and store correspondence. Purelymail provides domain email where used.
Some providers act as processors under our instructions; others, including Freemius for its merchant services, determine their own processing purposes. Their applicable notices explain their separate processing. We do not sell personal information.
6. Cookies, local storage and the shader background
WordPress and service providers may use cookies or similar storage for functions such as administrator login, security, saved preferences and checkout. The website’s animation does not itself require an advertising identifier.
The ShaderPress renderer runs locally in your browser using graphics capabilities. Its bundled renderer telemetry is disabled. Browser/GPU capability checks, reduced-motion preferences and screen size determine whether an animation or a static fallback is shown. These local rendering checks are separate from checkout and licence validation.
Non-essential analytics, advertising or embedded-media technologies, if enabled, must be identified in the website’s cookie information and controlled through the consent mechanism where required. Rejecting or withdrawing optional consent does not prevent you from reading this policy. You may also manage cookies through your browser; blocking necessary storage can affect some functions.
7. How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as needed for its purpose, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute.
- Operational and security logs: for the period needed to investigate faults, maintain security and handle abuse; identified incident records may be retained while the incident or a related claim remains unresolved.
- Support correspondence: while a request is open and afterwards where needed for follow-up, service history or dispute handling. Irrelevant attachments should be removed when no longer needed.
- Customer and licence administration: while needed to administer the licence or customer relationship and afterwards where required for legal obligations or claims. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically erase necessary purchase records.
- Accounting and tax records we hold: for the applicable statutory retention periods.
- Consent records and preferences: while needed to respect or demonstrate your choices. Backup copies are removed through the applicable backup-retention cycle.
Freemius and other independent controllers apply their own retention rules. You can contact us for the retention criteria applicable to a particular record or request deletion where permitted.
8. International processing
Our providers may process information outside Spain or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. We therefore do not promise that all website, email, payment or licence information remains in the EU.
Where we transfer personal information subject to European data-protection law to a country without an applicable adequacy decision, an appropriate transfer mechanism is required, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, together with any additional measures required for the transfer. Independent controllers explain their own transfer arrangements in their notices. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to a transfer we arrange.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and its conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
Send requests to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it within that period. Requests are normally free of charge.
You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority, including the authority in your place of habitual residence, work or alleged infringement. For information independently controlled by Freemius, you can also contact Freemius directly.
10. Security and updates to this policy
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information and processing risks. No website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
ShaderPress is intended for website owners, designers and business users; we do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information through this website. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information that should be removed.
We may update this policy when the website, providers or processing practices change. The date below identifies the current version. Where required, material changes will be communicated separately.
