1. Who operates ShaderPress?

2. These terms and your purchase

These are the vendor terms for our website and services. Paid purchases also have a separate Freemius End User License Agreement (EULA). Freemius, Inc. acts as authorised reseller and merchant of record. The EULA prevails over conflicting vendor terms for the purchase; mandatory law and applicable open-source licences remain unaffected.

Read the checkout details and linked policies before ordering. You must have legal capacity to contract. If ordering for a company or client, you must have authority to act for them. Visiting the website alone does not place an order or create a paid subscription.

3. Using this website

You may browse the website and use its information to evaluate and use ShaderPress. Do not interfere with its operation, impersonate another person, submit malicious content, harvest private information or attempt unauthorised access.

Examples and demonstrations illustrate possible designs; appearance and performance vary by device, screen, browser and your own settings. Links to independent websites are provided for reference. Their operators control their own services and terms.

4. Free and paid editions

ShaderPress adds configurable shader backgrounds to WordPress elements. The Free edition offers a limited selection; paid plans add the features and entitlements described for that plan. The plan description and checkout determine your purchased site allowance and term. No particular future feature is included unless expressly promised as part of your order.

You are responsible for choosing suitable effects and settings, maintaining backups and ensuring your pages remain usable and accessible. Test changes on staging before deploying them to a live website.

5. Compatibility and performance

Use a supported WordPress/PHP environment and the browser capabilities described in our current documentation. Animated effects require compatible graphics support, including WebGPU where used by the selected renderer. Unsupported environments may show a static fallback instead.

We do not promise compatibility with every theme, builder, plugin, graphics device or future browser version. Review the documentation and test the Free edition where useful before buying. Animation consumes client-device resources; choose appropriate quality, motion and mobile settings. Compatibility statements and rights expressly included in your purchase remain binding.

6. Software licences and site activations

Keep your licence key and account access private. Activate only the sites permitted by your order, and manage domain changes through the customer portal. Under the EULA, each subsite of a WordPress multisite network counts as a site.

The licence and copyright notices distributed with the code govern the rights to that code. Nothing here restricts rights granted by the GPL, MIT or other applicable open-source licences, including their permissions to use, study, modify or redistribute covered code. Commercial keys, hosted services, official updates and support are separate entitlements subject to your purchase.

ShaderPress branding and trademarks are not automatically licensed for representing another product as an official ShaderPress product. Preserve notices required by applicable licences.

7. Prices, subscriptions and cancellation

The checkout confirms the price, taxes, billing interval and site allowance before payment. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. You can manage billing and cancellation in the customer portal. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment; its scope is defined by the EULA.

Stopping renewal and requesting a refund are different actions. Cancellation prevents a future renewal but does not itself refund a payment already made. Refer to the EULA and checkout for the full subscription conditions.

8. Refunds and statutory consumer rights

The commercial refund policy covers qualifying unresolved missing-feature or unusable-defect cases raised within the initial 14-day period, with cooperation in troubleshooting. Renewals are excluded under that policy; upgrades and additional licences do not restart eligibility. Read the full refund conditions.

This commercial policy does not remove mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for non-conforming digital content. Where statutory withdrawal rights apply to paid digital downloads, starting supply removes that right only when the legal requirements are met, including prior express consent, acknowledgement of the loss of withdrawal rights and the required confirmation. A download alone is not a blanket waiver.

Send refund or purchase-related requests through Support and include an order reference. Do not send full payment-card details.

9. Expiry, refunds and saved backgrounds

Free backgrounds continue working in every licence state: active, expired, refunded or never licensed.

For backgrounds using a Pro effect, the current plugin behaves as follows, provided the necessary plugin code and saved configuration remain installed:

Licence stateExisting Pro backgroundsCreate / edit Pro
ActiveContinue animatingAvailable
ExpiredContinue animatingLocked
RefundedStatic fallback colourLocked
Licence removed or never activated*Continue animatingLocked

*This refers to existing saved Pro backgrounds. It does not grant access to create or edit new Pro backgrounds without an active entitlement. A refunded state remains refunded after disconnecting the licence; removing a refunded licence does not restore Pro animation.

Renewing or restoring a valid paid entitlement unlocks Pro editing and restores access to official updates and support under the applicable plan. Uninstalling required plugin code, deleting configurations or losing browser compatibility can still prevent backgrounds from displaying.

The visitor-facing page uses a saved local licence state rather than making a Freemius licence request on each page load. That state is refreshed through WordPress administration, so a refund or renewal may not be reflected on the public site immediately. These implementation details describe current operation; they do not create a separate right to third-party services or override mandatory law and applicable open-source licences.

10. Product support

ShaderPress product support is provided by us. Use the Support page and sign in with the purchase email to submit a request. Paid support eligibility depends on an active paid licence. Public documentation remains available to Free users.

Provide a clear description, relevant versions, reproduction steps and the minimum necessary logs or screenshots. Remove passwords, private keys and unrelated personal data. Remote access is not authorised merely by opening a ticket; any access arrangements must be agreed separately.

Unless included in your plan or separately agreed, support does not include building a complete website, writing bespoke features or administering unrelated third-party products. No fixed response time or guaranteed resolution is promised unless expressly stated in your order.

11. Third-party components and shader assets

ShaderPress uses third-party components, including the open-source renderer from Shaders. Their respective licence notices continue to apply. ShaderPress is an independent product; references to WordPress, Elementor, Shaders or other names do not imply endorsement or partnership.

Buying ShaderPress does not itself grant access to every third-party paid shader collection or a separate Shaders subscription. External assets and any separately licensed collections remain subject to their owners’ terms. Use only materials you have permission to use in the way intended.

12. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains website, licence and support data processing. Freemius has its own policies for its checkout and portal. Cookie preferences are handled through the website’s cookie controls where applicable.

We may send necessary service communications about an order, licence, security issue or support request. Applying for an affiliate programme or opening a ticket does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

13. Responsibility and liability

Maintain backups and review changes before deployment. We take reasonable care in operating our website and providing the product, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or an identical result in every environment. Purchase-specific warranties, limitations and remedies are governed by the EULA and mandatory law.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, limits mandatory consumer remedies or excuses fraud or intentional wrongdoing. No website disclaimer overrides a specific commitment made to you as part of your purchase.

14. Changes and access restrictions

We may update the website and these terms prospectively and will show a revised date. Material changes affecting an existing paid contract will be handled under that contract and applicable law; publishing a new page does not automatically rewrite a completed purchase.

We may take proportionate measures against unlawful or abusive website use, subject to applicable law and existing contractual rights. Any suspension or termination of paid entitlements is governed by the applicable purchase agreement.

15. Governing law and complaints

Spanish law applies to these vendor website terms, subject to mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of habitual residence. Nothing requires consumers to surrender a competent court or complaint route they are entitled to use. The separate Freemius purchase agreement has its own governing-law provisions, subject to applicable mandatory protections.

Contact [email protected] or write to the business address above with a complaint. Include the relevant order reference and requested outcome. Affiliate participation is subject to separate programme terms; this page does not itself enrol anyone as an affiliate.
